PLATAFORMA PARA LA VISUALIZACIÓN DE LA SENSORIZACIÓN DE PUENTES

Platform for monitoring the sensorization of bridges

Website: https://cal-sens.com/
Partners: Universitat Politècnica de València, CalSens
Duration: 2020-2021

Description: The project develops a new visualization platform that shows in real time the data captured by different fiber optic sensors located along bridges where trains pass. In the developed solution, first of all, data from different sensors is obtained, which is sent to a server. Subsequently, this information is processed and, finally, this information is displayed. The platform also issues different alerts when the data exceeds certain defined thresholds.

SISTEMA DE REALIZACIÓN AUDIOVISUAL AUTOMATIZADA Y DESATENDIDA

Automated and unattended audiovisual production system

Reference: IMINOD/2020/118
Project website: https://esveu.es/
Partners: Universitat Politècnica de València, ESVEU Media Systems
Duration: 2020-2021

Description: The main objective of the project is the design and development of a new multimedia system for automated and unattended audiovisual recording and production. The new solution is oriented for environments in which a session or meeting is recorded in which several participants take part, such as the municipal plenary session of a city council, a conference or a meeting of the board of directors of a company.

The main novelty of this solution is that it allows an automated and unattended management of the production process, that is, without the need for a dedicated person to carry out the different shots that make up the video. Likewise, by allowing the generation of time stamps of the video recording, it allows to identify the participating person for later location in a concrete and immediate way. Thus, the project intends to implement a new application in charge of carrying out the management of the entire process of conducting and recording a session.

Project website: http://sspressing.upv.es
Partners: Universitat Politècnica de València, Universidad de Jaén, Universidad de Oviedo, Universidad de Alcalá
Duration: January 2016 – December 2018

Description: The project performs systems for analysis and synthesis of environments and sound scenes in an “intelligent” and computationally efficient way through network acoustic nodes. Specifically, the following objectives/developments are addressed: conformation of interactive virtual sound environments with distributed multinode control systems, creation of interactive virtual sound scenes (in particular musicals: distributed technological concerts, virtual accompaniment, etc.) and analysis of sound scenes for detection, location and classification of events and scenes, and development of systems to aid hearing and improve intelligibility.
On the other hand, the generic concept of “smart sound processing” defines the intelligent generation and/or acquisition of sound signals by means of potentially heterogeneous, distributed and mass-used signal processing/computation devices, together with network intelligence, to manage data, make decisions, and configure capture/playback/computing devices. In summary, the present project addresses the design and implementation of “smart sound processing” of: products, systems, programs and signal processing and communications algorithms, using state-of-the-art architectures, advanced computing and efficient communications.

Project websitehttp://www.azimutbussolutions.com/
Partners: Universitat Politècnica de València, Videoacustic, Okode
Duration: March 2015 – September 2016

Description: The objective of the project is the creation of an enabling system for high quality connectivity in public transport (bus, train and ferry) to allow access to live TV and Internet content, improving the quality and comfort of the traveller, and using advanced coding, streaming, caching and monitoring technologies.
The project develops a platform to provide high-quality Internet access and television and on-demand entertainment services, as well as travel information, security notices, etc. to bus, train and ferry users. The solution encompasses the development of an embedded routing system that has several wireless multi-operator interfaces. Through a quality analysis of the links based on the monitoring of their performance in real time, it is possible to dynamically establish the interfaces with the highest quality link at any time and redirect and balance the traffic through them. Users can access the Internet and other multimedia services (videos, TV) from their mobile devices. To manage and guarantee higher quality, the platform can pre-store and distribute content in the wireless network of the vehicle, after being recoded and adapted for transmission, through processes in the cloud.
