Ismael de Fez received the Telecommunications Engineering degree and the M.S. degree in Telematics from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), Valencia, Spain, in 2007 and 2010, respectively. In 2014 he obtained his PhD in Telecommunications from the UPV. He received the doctoral thesis extraordinary award of the Universitat Politècnica de València in 2015.

Currently, he is a researcher at the Multimedia Communications research group (COMM) of the Institute of Telecommunications and Multimedia Applications (iTEAM), UPV. His areas of interest are multimedia transmission over wireless networks and file encoding.
