COMM wins the first “iTEAM Science Pills” contest

We are very happy of being awarded in the first edition of the iTEAM “Science Pills” with the video titled “What is DASH?”. iTEAM Science Pills is a contest of scientific videos produced by researchers from the Institute of Telecommunications and Multimedia Applications (iTEAM), where an experiment or scientific project is presented. The maximum duration of the videos is 2 minutes and the videos are in English language.

The video “What is DASH?” consists of a brief tutorial with a touch of humor that briefly explains how the adaptive video standard DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP) works. This standard is widely used nowadays, in fact Netflix and Youtube use it. Amparo and Mª José, the two administrative staff of the iTEAM, collaborated with us in the video, contributing with their their naturalness and humor.
