From September 27 to 29, 2017, we participated in the III Workshop QoS and QoE in Multimedia Communication (III QQCM 2017) carried out within the framework of the XIII Workshop on Telematics Engineering (JITEL 2017), organized by the Universitat Politècnica de València.

It has been a very interesting experience, in which we have had the opportunity to share and discuss with researchers from other institutions, which develop their activity on topics related to: design of new architectures to ensure Internet QoS, development of new multimedia services, evaluation of communication protocols for multimedia services, correlation between QoE and QoS parameters, new networks for the improvement of QoE (adaptive, cognitive, SDN …) and analysis of perceived quality (QoE) in multimedia services, among others.

For our part, we participated with the work titled “Evaluation of a DASH system for 3D video streaming” presented by our partner Paola Guzmán.

Many thanks to the organizers of the event. These meetings are a good strategy to promote and stimulate the exchange of ideas between experienced researchers and novices, as well as the creation of meeting points between different groups or research teams. See you next year!
