COMM participates in Symposium URSI 2018

From September 5 to 7, we participated in the XXXIII National Symposium of the International Scientific Radio Union (URSI), which was held in Granada.

The URSI gathers annually, more than three hundred researchers, professionals and students from the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in order to present their research and technological development. The main objective of the Symposium is to become a reference technical forum for the telecommunications sector, as well as to foster collaboration between researchers and technologists from universities and companies in the sector.

The topics discussed this year were diverse: communication systems, propagation channel, wireless sensors and systems, antennas, mobile communications, satellite communications, multidisciplinary signal processing …

Regarding the COMM, we participated in the congress with the presentation of the article “Adaptation Algorithm DASH sensitive to segment size”, which was presented by our colleague Román Belda.

The organization of the symposium was exceptional, and from here we want to congratulate those responsible for the event, for the excellent organization of both the technical talks and social events. In this sense, we did not miss the opportunity to visit the magical city of Granada, visiting the neighborhoods of Albaicín and Sacromonente and, of course, to take a guided tour of the spectacular Alhambra in Granada.
